IP Valorisation and Protection for H2020 SME Instrument Seal of Excellence Holders

As part of the ongoing European initiatives to promote growth and strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of enterprises in the European Union, the project “Boosting the use of Intellectual Property with an action specifically designed for Innovative SMEs,” or IPA4SME, aims to extend SMEs international opportunities and innovation prospects in the Single Market and beyond.

As part of their core activities, IPA4SME is launching an open call to H2020 SME Instrument Seal of Excellence Holders in participating countries. Eligible SMEs will have the opportunity to receive:


  • A free IP Pre-diagnostic, which is a custom report by a verified IP Expert on your business strategy related to IP
  • Recommendations on achieving a secure and efficient exploitation of your assets
  • Reimbursement of IP Protection costs: co-financing of eligible costs related to protecting IP, including an IP attorney and patent application fees

The services financed by IPA4SME can provide up to 15 000 EUR in assistance for qualified SMEs looking to advance in IP valorisation and develop an IP protection strategy.

With its newly launched website and related communication channels, all H2020 SME Instrument Seal of Excellence Holders and interested parties are invited to discover more about IPA4SME, the open call for actions, and the co-financing opportunities that are available.

Application guidelines, instructions on how to apply, and a more details on potential beneficiaries are now available for review in advance of the call for applications that opens on 6 May 2019.
